Sorry

Sorry, is a simple word,
it flows easy from the tongue,
you learn to say your sorry,
when you are very young,
Its only when your older,
you begin to realize,
that sorry is quite different,
when viewed with older eyes.

sorry for hopes and dreams and fears
sorry for words that were never said
sorry for actions that never left my head
sorry for dreaming and nightmaring too
sorry for not knowing what to say or do
sorry for my confusion, guilt, and pain
sorry for my losses, sorry for no gains
Sorry can't begin to state this pain that I feel
Sorry won't reverse it, and it can never fully heal
Sorry for not knowing which words to say or when
Sorry for not feeling like I'm the lesser friend
Sorry for wishing that all of it would end.
